What's in a Name?
I have had many people ask me why I named my character "AntiTweak" when her name should be "AntiTwink". Do a search on the World of Warcraft Armory and you will see why. There are almost 30 "AntiTwinks" at any given time. I wanted a name that would stand out and still be relevent to the Project. Since I have heard a few people say "tweak" instead of "twink", I thought it would be a good choice.
Anti: A person who is opposed to something, such as a group, policy, proposal, or practice.

Twinking: Twinking is a term used in computer role-playing games to describe a low level playing style. A player who engages in twinking is known as a twink. The term's specific meaning differs depending on the game's genre.
In computer role-playing games and MMORPGs, twinking refers to outfitting a new character or player with items or other resources that are not normally available to new or low-level characters. A twink in this usage is a type of powergamer and munchkin. The term can also refer to the twinked character itself (e.g., "My twink has all the best gear.") In its most basic definition, a twink is a character with better gear than they could have easily gotten on their own.

Some people by mistake use "tweak" instead of "twink".
Tweak: to make a minor adjustment to: to tweak a computer program.

How AntiTweak was "Born"
The story of the AntiTweak Project begins in late December 2006. I had read an article in 'Massive Magazine' about a Troll Hunter that leveled without armor except for gloves, boots and jewelry up to level 40. He had a pet and the best weapons gold can buy. At first, I had to laugh, there was no way in hell a n00b style player like me could do anything like that. Then I thought about it, and my train of thought went like this: well of course he could do it, he had a partner all the time and on top of it he had a weapon. So who would go two steps farther and ditch the perment buddy and weapons?
What if I did it?
At this time I had created all three of my druids, my mage, and my rogue. I knew right off the bat that I could not go cloth, I had horrible problems soloing my mage. I knew mail wearing classes would be hell, and rogues, well I have rogue dyslexia. This was pre-Burnt Crusade, so shamans were not an option.
This left my favorite, the druid class. I knew it would be perfect, they were walking weapons. With the basic buffs, I would have more armor (Mark of the Wild) and the thorns would do extra damage. In animal forms, I could gain armor or dish out the damage. On top of it, I had healing spells and entangling roots would help pin down enemies if needed.
The name was the hardest part. All of my characters had Japanese names that reflected who they were for the most part. I knew this character was different from every other character I had ever created. Since I had been talking about "twinks" with my boyfriend, I thought, well she would be the opposite. She would be against "twink" style playing, so "AntiTwink" would be a great name. Except, I thought it sounded silly, and had probably already been done a million times over. So I used the lesser and more n00bish term "tweak".
And so "AntiTweak" the Night Elf Druid was born.
The First Weeks
In the beginning there was AntiTweak, alone, naked. Even though the project was going well, people constantly whispered me telling to put some clothes on. Despite the "cost" (because you know she totally needs the gold for upgrades and repairs), I chose a guild tabarb for "cover". It covered just enough while conveying the message she was not wearing any armor. Also, I happen to really support my guild/clan, so it was a matter of pride.
Next was her professions. Herbalism was chosen out of all the gathering professions for it's lack of "weapons" (mining uses mining picks and skinning a skinning knife), and its link with Alchemy which would allow AntiTweak to use potions to help her on her quest to reach level 60. I know that picks and knives are only kept in your bag and never used on combat, but I didn't like the idea of her carrying weapons. Besides, healing potions and mana potions really help in a pinch.
The choice to go "Feral" was made based on my favorite style of play. It would put me in the melee class, but healing wouldn't do me much good and I have a fear of running out of mana which can happen in caster form. Bear form would give me more armor while cat form would allow me to take my enemies by surprise, do damage quickly and run faster if needed.
The Little Things
Although AntiTweak was created only two weeks before the release of the Burnt Crusade, like all characters created on my account, she was mailed a Netherwhelp. His official name is Whelpie and has a personalty similar to GIR from Invader Zim. His hobbies include watching AntiTweak die and flying in pointless circles.
Optamo is AntiTweak's partner in crime and some suspect her boyfriend. Unlike most warrior's, he took up herbalism and alchemy like AntiTweak. Some might not think it manly to be picking flowers, but the potions you can make really makes up for that.
